With successful Kickstarter campaigns like Captain Ken, Lugwig B, Alabaster, and the recent Clockwork Apple, Digital Manga isn’t slowing down their Kickstarter train to publish “God of Manga” Osamu Tezuka titles, and their next project is a shojo (girl’s) title called Storm Fairy. This manga is a collection of three short stories with the first being the longest at the length of half the book, and the other two make up the rest. Their new standard will have the book printed in high-quality off-set white paper, and is scheduled to be released in October, 2015. The Kickstarter campaign is planned to start June 16th, and will run for 30 days.

Restocking the complete series of Finder Vol. 1 – 6 by Ayano Yamane; undeniably one of the best yaoi manga series in BL existence!
Launching for the first time a brand new Kickstarter campaign for Juné imprint series Finder by Ayano Yamane. The Kickstarter campaign aims to restock the complete Finder series Volumes 1 – 6. Finder is highly regarded as being one of the best yaoi manga series in boy’s love existence! The Finder Project Kickstarter campaign is 100% designed and dedicated to all boy’s love fans and aims to be a highly intensive fan-driven project.
The Finder series is a yaoi manga revolving around photographer Akihito Takaba and Japan’s notorious crime lord Ryuichi Asami. While out on assignment trying to document the illegal activities of the Japanese underworld, photographer Akihito crosses paths with the dark and mysterious leader Asami. Asami takes Akihito captive, in an attempt to subjugate and possess him. After a turn of events, both Akihito and Asami come to hold deep affection for one another, though never coming to realize or wanting to admit/succumb to the impending love. Despite circumstances beyond their control, they always find themselves drawn to one another. Will their feelings of love, lust, and desire ever become mutual? The Finder series is a high-pace yaoi with a dark theme and an addictive and captivating storyline that showcases hidden desires as Akihito ventures into the brooding darkness that lurks behind the Japanese underworld and the new found love captured in the viewfinder.
The campaign has a goal of $45,000 to restock this six volume series with a stretch goal at $50,000 and another stretch goal at $52,000. A majority of the tier packages feature fan-based rewards as well as many book-only based tiers, and some even include badges to YaoiCon 2015. (For more about YaoiCon, visithttp://www.yaoicon.com.) The planned restocking date for this series is set for April 2015 or possibly earlier. Digital Manga attempts to adopt a new way of restocking beloved out of stock yaoi titles from the Juné, 801 Media, and DokiDoki imprint labels while utilizing fan-driven demand for restocking projects. With the success of the Finder Project, Digital Manga plans to move forward with even more yaoi restocking campaigns designed to meet the growing yaoi fanbase for older titles. DMI hopes to be able to restock a large majority of the out of stock yaoi titles in future with the help of the yaoi fanbase community.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Digital Manga Inc. Launches in Lighting Speed— Smaller, Quicker, and Affordable—The Tezuka Requiem Kickstarter Campaign
Gardena, CA (November 26, 2014)
Digital Manga Inc. (DMI), a long-time publisher of manga, launches a new Kickstarter campaign for their new Osamu Tezuka title, Ludwig B. With other successful Tezuka Kickstarter campaigns such as Barbara, Captain Ken, and Unico, DMI looks to crowd funding once again to help release a manga classic into English. The 2 volume series release date is set for July 2015.
Ludwig B is a bio-manga about music prodigy, Ludwig van Beethoven. With a focus on Ludwig’s younger years, Tezuka depicts what life was like for a young, struggling artist in a time when those in a higher social class used and abused those of lower class. Born in an era of great composers, Johann (Ludwig’s alcoholic father) forces the young Ludwig to take piano lessons and often acts the dictator. Miserable from his father’s constant abuse, Ludwig hated music, but then he is taken under the tutelage of Christian Gottlob Neefe who nurtured Ludwig’s natural talents. One day, Franz Creutzstein (an aristocrat who hates anyone with the name Ludwig) canes Ludwig Beethoven in the ear which causes internal bleeding. This in turn causes Ludwig to slowly lose his hearing. From abuse by people he trusted, to the death of his parents, to the loss of his hearing, Ludwig continues to compose music because it is the only way for him to connect to people and the world.

Saturday, May 24th, 2014 | 12:00PM PST (Noon) | Room Panels 3
The DMI/DMG panel started on time, at 12, noon. — We opened by applauding to the crowd, letting them know this was the biggest response we’ve had for a DMI/DMG panel for all of our conventions of 2014. The first set of slides informed customers of our newest releases, including the newest Kickstarter campaign for Captain Ken. We then explained the workings behind DMG and how it’s like to have your name in a manga. A lot of people scooted to the front of their seats to learn about the behind the scenes process of translating, editing and lettering for manga books. After the panel ended, we received a large handful of questions about our newest licenses, particularly for “No Pants, No Problem”, and more questions about the specifics in becoming a member of the Digital Manga Guild. Press was also there to report on our newest licenses and announcements.
Saturday, May 24th, 2014 | 10:00PM PST | Room Panels 2
Our Project-H panel at Fanime 2014 was a big success. With a line waiting to get in, the Project-H panel was able to open the doors to its fans right on time. The room could seat 800 and from the start, we had about 480 filled. Though fans were stumbling over each other to get a front row seating, we were not able to start the panel on time due to technical difficulties with the large theater screen, provided by the hotel. We improvised and played a game of Jan Ken Pon (Rock Paper Scissors) with the crowd for them to have a chance to earn some free books. There was a tie breaker and both guests had to stand in front of the stage for a “face off” to see who would be the true winner of our hentai manga. We delayed the crowd as much as we could until the Fanime staffers told us there was nothing they could do to remove the technical difficulty. Although there was a large black square covering a part of our presentation, we joked, “It’s okay, we’re used to being censored.” The crowd was very understanding and laughed at our humor.
We gave the crowd an interactive panel that made them “Ooou!” and “Ahh!” over our various slides. Fans were excited to see new titles and the new plans we have for Project-H. As soon as the slides were over, we opened the remainder of the panel for Q&A. Fans had all kinds of questions from, “Can you release yuri?” to “What are the current hentai trends in Japan compared to the US?” Anime News Network was there as press and covered our newest licenses and announcements.
